My name's Catherine and I'm a fully qualified Level 2 Swimming teacher qualified to teach both children and adults. I am also a full member and am registered to teach with the Swim Teachers Association.

My swimming lessons extend a warm welcome everyone and are inclusive. I aim to help introduce children to the essential skills needed to embark on the journey to improve and/or learn to swim independently. As parents are not in the pool during the classes, this is a wonderful opportunity to watch your child learn independently in the water with the continued support of a qualified Swimming Teacher to help guide them.

All children learn in different ways and at their own pace, some children could potentially progress at a faster pace than others but regardless of this we aim to help your children develop and use a range of techniques and strokes effectively, for example, breathing techniques, front crawl, backstroke and breaststroke, floating, entering and exiting the pool safely. As well as improving existing skills they may already have and help further their technique.

I'm very patient with this process and take the time to get to know each child's preferred way of learning as opposed to having a strict structure in place and expecting them to simply fall into it.

The pool is fitted with a flow machine enabling the children to still "go the distance" and challenge themselves at every opportunity.

But most important of all, water safety. Its important that children are given an opportunity to learn how to be safe whilst in and around water, how to react, what to do in various situations and depths of water and to be introduced to the skills needed to help keep themselves as safe as possible.

I also aim to have a great deal of fun and learning through play is something I'm passionate about.

To ensure the safety and wellbeing of all swimmers, the following conditions must be adhered to at all times:

Children must be supervised by a parent, carer, or responsible adult at all times before and after their swimming lesson.

Any swimming equipment located on the premises must not be touched or used unless instructed and supervised by a swim teacher during the lesson. This includes all equipment stored in and around the main pool area.

Please arrive no more than 10 minutes before your scheduled lesson. On arrival, wait in the designated area outside the changing rooms until all swimmers and spectators from the previous lesson have exited and completely vacated the main pool area. Only then may you enter the pool area.

Once your child's swimming lesson has finished, they must be escorted immediately and safely to the changing rooms by their parent or carer. No swimmers, parents, carers, or siblings are permitted to remain in the main pool area after the lesson has ended unless there is a medical emergency. In the event of an emergency, a swim teacher must be alerted immediately.

All children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times while using the changing room facilities.

Failure to comply with these Terms & Conditions or any instructions given by our staff may result in your child's swimming lessons being suspended or terminated with immediate effect. These measures are in place to protect the safety and enjoyment of all swimmers, families, and staff.

· Please arrive within 10 minutes of  our session starting

.Parents/carers are welcome to view from pool side or drop off and collect their child/children after the lesson. Please be pool side 5 minutes before the lesson starts and ends to help retrieve your child from the pool safely.

·  Sessions are non refundable.

·  IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT YOU NOTIFY ME IN WRITING PRIOR TO ATTENDING IF YOUR CHILD CURRENTLY SUFFERS FROM ANY ADDITIONAL NEEDS / ALLERGIES OR ILLNESSES THAT WE NEED TO BE AWARE OF. PLEASE DO THIS VIA EMAIL OR TEXT TO:

· Please come "swim ready" to the classes.

·Sessions unattended cannot be credited due to pool hire costs being paid upfront

· Please ensure the children who are not yet toilet trained are equipped with swim nappies PLUS covered with a neoprene nappy on top ( Available at asda etc or online via amazon) Please contact me if you need any help with this.

●       If I have any doubts regarding my child's health I will seek the advice of my medical professional before proceeding with Swimming lessons and inform the Teacher concerned in writing.
